Durante il concerto, ascolterai un repertorio colorato ispirato alle tradizioni musicali di tutta l'Europa centrale e orientale. Il programma include vivaci brani strumentali klezmer legati al folklore del giudaismo riformato, oltre a canzoni profondamente emozionanti eseguite in yiddish, radicate nella tradizione ebraica ortodossa.
Le melodie raccontano storie di vita quotidiana, celebrazioni, nostalgia e spiritualità che hanno plasmato la cultura ebraica per secoli. Alcune melodie possono persino suonare familiari: molte di esse sono diventate una parte importante del patrimonio musicale europeo.
Il concerto si svolge nel suggestivo interno di un palazzo storico noto come «Dębińskich» o «Under the Barrel», originariamente costruito nel XV secolo e ricostruito nel XVI secolo pur conservando il suo fascino medievale.
