Itinerary:

Day 1 – Schindler’s Story & Płaszów Memorial Site

Discover the true story behind Schindler’s List on a guided walking tour through the real streets and neighborhoods connected with Krakow’s wartime history.
Begin outside Oskar Schindler’s former enamel factory on Lipowa Street and learn how Schindler used his factory and position to protect Jewish workers during the Nazi occupation.
Continue through Podgórze, the site of the former Nazi German ghetto, and discover authentic locations connected with both historical events and Spielberg’s film.
The route continues to Kazimierz, once the center of Jewish life in Krakow. Walk through historic streets and courtyards while learning about the district’s prewar Jewish community and its transformation during the war.

Płaszów Memorial Site | Approx. 2h | Admission Free
Continue to the former Płaszów concentration camp, now a memorial site and place of remembrance.
Walk through the grounds where thousands of people were imprisoned and learn about the history of the camp, its victims, and survivors. Your guide will provide context about Płaszów and its connection to the wider history of Krakow during the Nazi occupation.
This part of the tour offers a quiet opportunity for reflection and a deeper understanding of the events depicted in Schindler’s List.

Day 2 – Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum
