Schindler’s Story – Podgórze & Kazimierz / approx. 2h / Walking Tour

Discover the true story behind Schindler’s List on a guided walking route through the real locations where Krakow’s Jewish history and the famous film intersect.

The tour combines authentic streets, courtyards, neighborhoods, historical events, and filming locations to explain the transformation of Krakow’s Jewish community during the Second World War.
The tour begins outside Oskar Schindler’s Factory on Lipowa Street.
The factory is viewed from the outside and is not included as a museum visit.
The tour concludes on Szeroka Street, in the heart of historic Kazimierz. Surrounded by historic synagogues and prewar Jewish heritage, your guide explains what Jewish life in Krakow was like before the war and why Kazimierz became such an important location for Schindler’s List.
